Clinical career

• 2017 – present: Head of the Department of Angiology and Vascular Surgery, Clínica Rotger – Quirónsalud Group (Palma).
• 2006 – 2022: Consultant in Angiology and Vascular Surgery, Son Dureta University Hospital / Son Espases University Hospital.
• 2001 – 2006: Specialty registrar (MIR) in Angiology and Vascular Surgery, Son Dureta University Hospital. External rotation at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St Louis (USA), in 2006.
• 1999 – 2001: Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, and research fellow in heart transplantation.

Teaching

• Trainer of Angiology and Vascular Surgery registrars at Son Espases (2012 – 2022).
• Associate lecturer in Vascular Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, University of the Balearic Islands.
• Director of the Clínica Rotger workshops on the diagnosis and treatment of abdominal and pelvic venous disease (five editions since 2025; 6th edition in February 2027 and 7th, international edition in 2027).
• Proctor for Medtronic (2025 – present).

Scientific activity

• Vice-president (2016 – 2019) and secretary of the Assessment Committee (2007 – 2015) of the Vascular Diagnosis Chapter of the Spanish Society of Angiology and Vascular Surgery.
• Associate editor of the journal Angiología (2009 – 2015).
• Reviewer for Annals of Vascular Surgery since 2010.
• Collaborating investigator in international clinical trials (CALISTO, EUCLID, TAMARIS).
• Member of the Son Espases committees on vascular anomalies and complex vascular access for haemodialysis, and of the regional vascular access working group.
