About me
I am Dr Óscar Merino, Head of the Department of Angiology and Vascular Surgery at Clínica Rotger in the centre of Palma.
I treat diseases of the veins, arteries and lymphatic system: from varicose and spider veins to thrombosis, arterial disease, aneurysms, compression syndromes and pelvic congestion. I use non-surgical techniques as well as open and endovascular surgery.
I graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Barcelona, trained as a specialist at Son Dureta University Hospital and worked as a consultant in Angiology and Vascular Surgery at Son Dureta and Son Espases from 2006 to 2022, where I was also a trainer of junior doctors. Since 2017 I have headed the department at Clínica Rotger.
I am the author of a guide to vascular ultrasound diagnosis and co-author of the Residents’ Guide to Angiology and Vascular Surgery, and I have received several awards from the Spanish Society of Angiology and Vascular Surgery.
I can see you in Spanish, Catalan and English. I also share information on vascular health on YouTube and Instagram (in Spanish).
